The city of Kalemie experienced a historic moment with the official inauguration of the AWEL MEDICAL CENTER (AMC), a modern hospital establishment intended to strengthen the provision of health care in the province of Tanganyika.
The ceremony took place in the presence of several political-administrative and health authorities and numerous guests. The event was marked by the participation of the Provincial Minister of Health of Tanganyika, who made the official declaration of the opening of the hospital before presiding over the symbolic ribbon cutting ceremony, thus marking the official commissioning of this new health infrastructure.
The Honorable Dr Cyril Kimpu Awel, President of the Provincial Assembly of Tanganyika, Responsible Doctor and visionary of the AWEL MEDICAL CENTER, presented his vision of providing Kalemie with a modern hospital meeting current standards of medicine. He stressed that this investment constitutes a significant contribution to improving access to quality health care for the population.
Equipped with modern infrastructure and the latest generation medical equipment, the AWEL MEDICAL CENTER will provide the community with quality health services, provided by qualified and committed medical staff.
